La Ragazza Italiana
Le avventure di una studentessa italoamericana in Italia
Lake Como.
After a late night in Corso Como, I nearly missed my 9am bus, as did many other Bocconi exchange students. 170 exchange students woke up nice and early on a Sunday to travel to one of the most beautiful destinations in Northern Italy: Lake Como. The 1 hour bus ride was full of loud American pop music, selected by american-enthusiast ESN (Exchange Student Network) members leading the trip, and not limited to eager German students downing a few Heinekens to start off the day. The day-long event started off with a boat tour on Lake Como. Half of our group squeezed on to one boat and we were guided through the peaceful waters, where we could see mountains, local water-side restaurants, and George Clooney's vacation house. The next part of the adventure was a tour through the city. Not surprisingly, I got a bit distracted and wandered off to buy some postcards instead.

While the other exchange students crowded into an underground pizza joint, Maddie, Katie, and I decided to check out somewhere a littler more refined. Lunch featured a fresh Caesar salad, warm buffalo mozzarella, and a piña colada by the waterside. After dining, we took a tram (train) ride up the mountains of Como. This took only about 10 minutes and when we arrived at the top, an incredible view of the city awaited us. Unfortunately, I did not see George Clooney, but I did experience many other stunning sights.
